Ed, I’ve been following you for some time now on facebook. Very impressed. I wish I knew what you know about getting folks to read what you write. You’re definitely a pro, and I’m an amateur. Wish you’d check my site sometime and perhaps make some suggestions. The blog is Scripturestudent.wordpress.com. My web site is http://www.Godscomebackkids.com, the same as the title for my first book, I told you about my friend, Robert Sutherland. He was a crown attorney in Canada and from an attorney’s point of view wrote a commentary on the book of Job: PUTTING GOD ON TRIAL. I believe you and he might have a great deal in common and hope you’ll connect with each other. God bless you in your work. Happy New Year! ~donkimrey
Dear Reverend Hird,
Recently, along with a collaborator(lyricist), I completed a new musical work entitled ‘Job’s Unbridled Faith’. This 70 minute work is a re-telling of the Book of Job using choir, orchestra and narration. Its premier performance will be in Richmond, Va, at St. Giles church on May 18, 2012.
While preparing the program for the performance, I was searching for a Job image when I came across your ‘Curse God and Die’ article that was published 8/23/2009. I found your article to be so ‘right on’ that I would like to include at least parts of it in our program notes for the performance.
Please let me know if you will grant us permission to do so.
In God’s service,
Ed Keating and Robert Wendell (posthumous)
